We are currently seeking a highly motivated, full time AWS SysOps Admin to provide outstanding service to our San Diego and Orange County client base.  

JOB DESCRIPTION  

Under the direct supervision of the IT Director, the AWS SysOps Admin will provide remote technical support for Noesis clients. The AWS SysOps Admin must be able to quickly and professionally identify, research, and resolve a wide range of issues relating to technology and AWS Cloud Services. This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week. The AWS SysOps Admin must embrace the entrepreneurial spirit of our small, growing organization and possess high levels of self-initiative, accountability, and flexibility, coupled with a professional and strong work ethic.

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid CA Driver's License  
  • 5+ years direct AWS environment administration with specific experience in rehosting workloads to AWS, designing AWS tenants to align with best practices, and managing an AWS environment for a cloud-first organization 
  • Certified AWS SysOps Admin (highly preferred) 
  • 3+ years VMWare full-environment administration (storage, computer, networking) 
  • 5+ years network infrastructure design and administration (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, Routing Protocols, diagnostics, security)
  • 5+ years Windows server administration (design, installation, configuration, management, monitoring, diagnostics) 
  • 5+ years Linux server administration a plus 

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS  

We require candidates to have extensive hands-on experience and knowledge.  The following are some examples of those requirements. 

  • Strong networking and security experience specifically relating to AWS cloud (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, PeeringSecurity Groups, IAM, Policies, Roles, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based access, and security controls 
  • Strong scripting skills  
  • Lead architect and technician on the configuration, management, and deployment of an AWS environment (EC2, S2, VPC, IAM, VPN, Lambda, FSxCloudEndureAWS Server Migration Service, etc.) 
  • Apply cloud and security best practices to the design and configuration of the AWS environment 
  • Create and implement a strategic plan for backups, replications, sandbox testing, and disaster recovery
  • Manage all aspects of server migrations from on-premises VMware to AWS 
  • Design and implement server monitoring, patching, incident remediation, provisioning, and deprovisioning 
  • Develop documentation, policies, and procedures governing the entire lifecycle management of AWS tenants and their provisioned resources
